When I first brought MF back I was using WordPress for all of my posts. At first I really liked it, but after awhile I really started to dislike it quite a bit. I found it time consuming and annoying to make posts. Things were not easily organized the way that I like them. I felt like I had little control over how things were set up. So, I started to think of other ways to run MF. I knew I didn't have the time to commit to hand-coding MF the way that I used to do back in the day. So, I started to play around with a software program that my server had available to install on my webspace. Mambo was fun...but a couple days after I got everything up and situated the server went down and the database for the Mambo install was corrupted. After that I decided to install Joomla on my own - and I love it! I love the way the site can be organized - I have total control over menus, placement, modules, and the like. There are tons of things I can install into the software to add additional functioning to the site. I love it! And I love how templates are easily changed. Right now I'm using pre-made ones that I have edited to fit my liking - this is mainly because this is all so new to me that I will have to learn how to put together templates for this type of site. Maybe during the summer I'll be able to take the time to make some of my own. So, please check back over the next couple of days because I plan on starting to get some of the other stuff up and running on the site. If possible I'm going to see if I can get my old posts from the WordPress installation up here too - it would be nice to finally get some real content back up! LOL!
